Dear friends of METI
I warn you that all the troubles you made for President Trump will be back to yourself, even if you have done it under the command of Toyota or Mr. Tokugawa.
I believe the world conscience will never allow your plan is accomplished, and you may be able to recognize it deeply when Toyota goes bankruptcy.
G.M. to Idle Plants and Cut Thousands of Jobs as Sales Slow
By Neal E. Boudette
Nov. 26, 2018
General Motors announced Monday that it planned to idle five factories in North America and cut roughly 14,000 jobs in a bid to trim costs. It was a jarring reflection of the auto industry’s adjustment to changing consumer tastes and sluggish sales.
The move, which follows job reductions by Ford Motor Company, further pares the work force in a sector that President Trump had promised to bolster. Referring to G.M.’s chief executive, Mary T. Barra, he told reporters, “I spoke to her and I stressed the fact that I am not happy with what she did.”
Mr. Trump also invoked the rescue of G.M. after its bankruptcy filing almost a decade ago. “You know, the United States saved General Motors,” he told reporters, “and for her to take that company out of Ohio is not good. I think she’s going to put something back in soon.”

The Latest: Trump Warns GM Could Lose Subsidies Over Layoffs
By The Associated Press
Nov. 27, 2018
WASHINGTON — The Latest on President Donald Trump and General Motors (all times local):
2:40 p.m.
President Donald Trump is saying he's "very disappointed" in General Motors closing plants — and he says the White House is "looking at cutting all subsidies" for the auto giant.
Trump tweeted his warning Tuesday, a day after GM announced it would shutter five plants and slash 14,000 jobs in North America.
He blasted GM's CEO, Mary Barra, "for closing plants in Ohio, Michigan and Maryland" even though "nothing" was "being closed in Mexico & China."
Trump angrily referred to the 2008 federal auto bailout by adding that "the U.S. saved General Motors, and this is the THANKS we get!"

Trump drops translation earpiece during G20 meeting with Argentina president
By Silvia Maresca

S President Donald Trump tossed his translation earpiece to the ground during comments to the media with Argentina's president Mauricio Macri on Friday, saying he could understand the South American leader better without it.
As the Argentinian president greeted him in Spanish, Trump took his translation earpiece off telling Macri 'I think I understood you better in your language than through the translator'.
