When we hear the word "Kinugasa", it might remind some of us, whose age is probably higher than 40, of the Japanese famous baseball player known as an ironman and a title holder of "Most Consecutive Games Played" like Lou Gehrig in MLB.

He hit his best in the middle of the 1980s, during the term, the Japan Airline Flight 123 (JAL123) crash incident which killed 520 crews and passengers occurred on the day of Aug 12, 1985.

On that day of the incident, the declaration of termination for Glico-Morinaga Affair which is one of the most mysterious and hard to understand affairs in Japan I have ever seen and carved an unforgettable portrait "The man of Fox Eyes" in our heart was abruptly issued by its criminal. In spite of lots of evidence and testimonies, the affair had ended unsolved.

From the word "Kinugasa", the other Japanese people also may imagine Mt Kinugasa, a small mountain located in the north-west area of Kyoto or "The Park of Mt Kinugasa" in Yokosuka famous for Naval town.

Glico-Morinaga Affair began in Kyoto, and JAL123 lost its control in the sky above Sagami bay, beyond Yokosuka. "Kinugasa" means "A silk parasol used by noble persons" and Kyoto is the town where noble persons have gathered and lived for a long time with its center, The Palace of Kyoto.
